This is an organisation of the Educationally and Socially Backward Communities of Kerala included under Group 8 of the State Govt. Classification of Other Backward Classes. In this category, Communities belongs to Hindu Religion are included whose right and privileges for educational and employment concession have been continu-ously denied by successive Governments on account of pressure exerted by more powerful Backward Communities like Ezhavas, Muslims, Latin Catholics etc. All the communities included in the Most Backward Communities Federation has their own traditional occupation and they are a helpless lot now; consequent of their traditional occupations becoming highly disorganized, non-remunerative and also due to the incoming of high machineries/industires. The present attempt is to put a common protest to clavour for the protection of the rights of these underprivileged communities. These communities have succeeded a lot now consequent on the continuous and restless efforts and protests made by the MBCF.
