It was a long felt need for the Vanika Vaisya Community in the State, the constitution of a relief fund. The 58th State Convention of KVVS conducted at Palakkad approved this and the Vaniar Relief Fund was inaugurated on 14-5-2000 by receiving a cheque by Mr. Dhanendrasahu, Hon. Irrigation Minister, Govt. of Madhya Pradesh, India.

This Relief Fund will be registered with a definite bye-law and it will be offering assistence to the following category of persons.

1. Relief assistance for treatment of By-pass Surgery, Cancer, Kidney Transplantation etc. for the really deserving sick people of the community to enable them to get their diseases treated.
2. Educational scholarships to the deserving students to continue their education.
3. Financial assistance to deserving widows of the community for marriage of their daughters.

Though the initial amount for starting the relief fund is provided by VVEE Trust, it will also make available the annual interest accuring from a deposit of Rs. 5 lakhs in the bank, to the Re-liefFund.
The Relief Fund will have a governing body consisting of the following persons.

2. General Secretary of KVVS
3. Chaian of VVEE Trust
4. Secretary of VVEE Trust
5. A Medical Expert from the community
6. An educational expert from the community
7. An outstanding person from the field of social service from our community
8. Two Members from KVVS State Committee
