Founded in 2002, K.V.V.S Institute of Technology usually known as MCA College is one of the three institutions of higher learning administered by Vanika Vaisya Educational and Employment Trust, Valiasala, Thiruvananthapuram.The College has been affiliated to the University of Kerala and approved by AICTE, New Delhi.
The trust ventured into the field of higher education out of the fi conviction that it has a vital role to play in the task of moulding the lives of young men and women and equipping them to meet the stern challenges of life. The main objective in starting this MCA College is to offer the students a sound background in the highly expanding field of In-foation Technology so as to enable them to seek a prospective career anywhere in the world wherever avenues are open. As we all know, the higher education scene in Kerala is going through a period of transition. Tremendous changes are taking place in the character and quality of education. It is very important that we ensure IT education to students coming from all the sections of the society. Self - Financing Educational Institutions springing up all over the state give emphasis to job-oriented courses, which help to solve the unemployment problem of our state to a certain extent.

The MCA College has come up at Kaithaparambu, a hill surrounded by bush green vegetation. It is a place of scenic beauty surrounding with thick cover of ever green trees, which presents an enhancing atmosphere. MCA College is a premier Institute offering MCA course. It would like to mention a few noteworthy points about our institution.

Our college stands second among the colleges under the Universtity of Kerala in tes of Academic Perfoance by students. The students of our college are upright in their character and conduct and for the last three years we had no incidence of disturbance in our campus, disturbing the solemn atmosphere of learning. Our students have been coached up by a dedicated and motivated team of faculty members.

Course

Master of Computer Application (MCA) is a Post Graduate Degree Course, consisting of six semesters for a period of three years duration. Sixth Semester is mainly intended for project work. Our institute has a Computer laboratory with A.C. and stand by generator. There is all facility for each student to access a computer. We have a well established Library. Almost all books prescribed by the University of Kerala for MCA Course are available in our Library. The Institute also subscribes a large number of journals and magazines on IT which are highly useful for students.

Hostel facilities are available for girl students. The Institute also helps boys to find suitable hostel facilities. Conveyance for students and staff members is provided by college bus services from all major junctions with in a radius of 10 kilometers around the college. The Institute has already initiated steps to arrange Campus Recruitment by forwarding letters to important I.T Campus and request them to come over here for Campus Recruitment. I assured them that our students will stand in good stead in whatever situation they are out in the field of I.T and that they will bring credit to any organization to which they join.
